Here’s a dining table, here’s a set of plates. Here’s your heart, red and bursting with love. You have tried to love people all your life, but no one seems to understand you. Your own mother perhaps forgot to teach you how to protect yourself, maybe people whom you trusted chose to look the other way when all you wanted was a hand full of love. All you want is someone to take from you, all you want is someone to dig in your heart and eat it and kiss you afterwards - bloody and red. You want them to tell you that you are what they have been looking for, you want to be the one who ends their hunger.

What kind of a herb are you?

Garlic

You leave an impression wherever you go. Your heart is so strong, so determined, so willing to go after whatever hole you see in the world, whatever wound you need to fix next. You're there. You're justice, hot red and pure gold, fairness incarnate, a paladin in shining armor come to protect and cleanse and heal and yet sometimes you wonder if you're the most corrupt, dirty being in the world, a fraud, a monster in hero's clothing. The world is so intense and you are so small, so fragile, and no matter how hard you try you're never good enough. You want to be good. You want to be good enough. You try so hard and yet the world is so dark and angry and cruel. Perfection is always just out of reach and you want things to be okay so bad you bleed with it. You just want things to be right, to be good, to be fair, but you don't know if they ever can be. If you can ever be.

Dandelion

You grew up too fast and all you know is the calluses on your fists and the thousand invisible scars that you pretend don't ache. Your anger burns so bright, so hot or maybe not at all, so deep you could never tell it was there. You are yours and you will defend that to the death after so many years of being ripped apart and denied your own agency and maybe you are still facing the bastards who stole your innocence but you will survive because that's the only thing you know how to do without breaking, the only thing you know besides protect, protect, protect, protect, yourself or sometimes those few others you claim as yours. You are a thousand sharp edges but impenetrable, a traumatized child so covered by thorny armor that you promised yourself you're grown now, you're stronger than anyone who has ever hurt you. You're safe. Nothing will ever hurt you again. You're so alone though sometimes, in a world that sees you as too much or too broken or too angry or too hurt, and you want to scream with the too-much of it, prove that you're okay, that you're self-reliant, that you are strong enough to stake your claim on your body, on your mind, on your heart, on your people, and protect it from any who dare take it away from you. You are the sea in tempest, a howling sky, a tsunami in motion, a force of nature, no matter how much you sometimes yearn to be still, to be safe, to be small. You are a dandelion, stubborn and determined to grow in the rockiest of soil, and bloom again in spring.

NAME! ♡ - Kara (car-uh) has been my pseudonym for most of my life, although some folks also call me Rock/Rockwell because I use this idiot’s name as my screenname on a lot of websites for both personal reasons and bc he’s my favorite. I find it ironic since our personalities really aren’t that alike lol. I’m really cool with most names though since I never use my legal name anyways <:

1! ♡ - I’m a spicy food addict. One of those people who puts hot sauce on everything at home or is always ordering something hot when eating out. I’ve just always been that way, even as a kid.

2! ♡ - Despite the huge amount of mega man muses I have on my multi my... my favorite game of all time is actually Okami. One of my older brothers got it when it first came out on PS2 and I pretty much fell in love with it. Coincidentally my favorite Zelda game is also Twilight Princess. Maybe I just like dogs or something--

3! ♡ - I’m always really bad at this fact thing so uuuh let’s go with the one where I have a birthmark on my lower back cause that’s interesting.

FEMALE, MALE OR NONBINARY! ♡ - Gender doesn’t really matter to me, but I think my overall count is definitely male heavy, though I write and draw all types of characters there is definitely a bias. Might have something to do with a lot of my now OCs starting off as AUs of one particular grumpy blue idiot before they developed to an crazy degree. Oops?

MULTI OR SINGLE! ♡ - I have both types of accounts! My multi is where I tried to contain my chaos because there was a time early on where I was running 16 different accounts and that was insane. Though I don’t still write ALL of those muses from back then, I still have quite a few. The characters who have single blogs are my favorites and/or ones I really wanted to give extra attention to. I do have some side blogs if you know where to look, but they’re sporadically active. You can find me on @overx & @vox-auxiliary normally when I’m not here though.

FLUFF / ANGST / SMUT! ♡ - Angst or deep plots are probably my favorite because I love me some character development. That said I enjoy a lot of fluff and crack still, humor is always appealing to me, and characters having genuine or tender moments is nice too. Smut is only for my spouse though, I just feel weird writing it with other people. Same for shipping.

PLOT / MEMES! ♡ - Both is good! I love planning stuff in IMs with people, but I also love just winging it and seeing what happens. Can’t go wrong either way <3

{Get to Know my Muse in 8 Songs or Less}

Music is a great way to get a sense of a character’s personality, history, or general vibes. You might only have a handful of songs you associate your muse, or you could have a massive playlist that’s impossible to list. Songs make it for all kinds of reasons: the lyrics, the genre, or maybe you just found the song at random and it stuck. The purpose of this meme is to introduce your muse in the span of one album or less, share some of your musical inspiration, or even stuff you’re into right now while you write! You can explain as much or as little as you like (multimuses are welcome to do one track per character too!). 1.Through Hell (Palisades) [SWEARING] If I had to pick only one song, it might be this one. 2.Simmer (Silversun Pickups) This one goes strongly with his moments of lethargy and hopelessness.

3.Not Afraid To Die (Written by Wolves) This is a song I stumbled onto and immediately went “THIS HAS ROCK ENERGY” (along with several other songs by this band). I wouldn’t consider it his theme song but the lyrics compliment his character somewhat, and it always makes me want to write him.

4.Roots (In this Moment) [SWEARING] Runner up for “if it had to be only one song.” This deals with themes of Rock’s trauma and how his response to it has been fury.

5. Narcissistic Cannibal (Korn ft Skrillix & Kill the Noise) A mainstay on Rockwell’s playlist for years. Lyrics that I associate a lot with his self loathing and entrapment. It has the heavy vibe I like for most of his music.

6.Modern Day Cain (IDKBTFM) Speaks to Rock’s self destructive tendencies and somewhat promiscuous nature.

7.Railgun (Blue Stahli) [INSTRUMENTAL]Okay the truth is virtually anything by Blue Stahli could be in this spot. However, Rock has several FIGHT ME songs and this seemed a good way to include a band that appears frequently without picking a particular song meaning.

8.The Outsider (A Perfect Circle) A lot of meanings on different days, but it deals with depression, as a heads up.

9.Psychoactive (Aviators feat. Lectro Dub) One of many, many MZ/Rock songs on this playlist.

10.Elastic Heart (Written by Wolves) [Rock] | Elastic Heart (The New Low) [Cale] This song co-exists on Rock and Cale’s playlists by each respective artist. Same lyrics, but different vibes and meanings for the twins, which ties a lot into their separate but intertwined characters.
